Dr. Adityanjee, MBBS, MD

Dr. Adityanjee is a physician, psychiatrist, thinker and intellectual who focuses on human rights, public policy, geo-politics and strategic studies. He studied for his MBBS at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and completed his MD in Psychiatry from the same institution. He obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Addictive Behaviors from the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London, UK in 1988. He got his M.R.C. Psych from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London, UK in 1991. He came to the USA in 1991 & joined a Research Fellowship in Biological Psychiatry & Clinical Psychopharmacology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Bronx Psychiatric Center, NY. His last academic position was as Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He has published more than 100 scientific papers, reviews, editorials & commentaries in peer reviewed journals. He has been a Principal Investigator of more than 40 clinical trials & research projects. His clinical area of expertise are psychopharmacological treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorders, neuroleptic induced movement disorders and borderline personality disorder. He also has interest in treatment of drug and alcohol dependence. He has received several teaching awards during his academic career and served as reviewer for several peer reviewed journals. Currently, he is in private practice in Cleveland, OH.

He other socio-political interests pertain to Human rights and Religious freedom. He is the Founding President and Chairperson of Board of Directors of a non-profit organization: International Commission for Human Rights and Religious Freedom (www.ichrrf.org). The ICHRRF focuses on the rights of persecuted and marginalized minorities world-wide. Dr. Adityanjee also leads a think tank named the Council for Strategic Affairs (www.councilforstrategicaffairs.org) , (www.councilforstrategicaffairs.blogspot.com). His articles on geo-politics and strategic affairs are well-published and well appreciated for incisive analysis. He has given talks and lectures on these subjects in various think tanks.
